Besides the Black Bay Fifty-Eight keeping with the dimensions of watches from the 1950s, it also features characteristic angular hands known to collectors as snowflake, which appeared in the brand’s 1969 catalogue. Similar to the first-generation Tudor divers' watches to be waterproof to 200m (660 ft), it is fitted with the large winding crown. These aesthetic inclusions make the watch appeal to vintage enthusiasts and perfect for slim wrists.

The use of 925 silver is a first for a TUDOR divers' watch, and the composition of the chosen alloy is a closely guarded secret. Entirely satin-finished for a matt effect, it possesses an unexpected incandescent brilliance, which can best be admired on the wrist. Its open case back reveals the new Manufacture Calibre MT5400, which allows the watch to be "weekend-proof", allowing it to run for 70 hours smoothly and reliably. This is due to the movement structure that has been designed to ensure robustness, longevity and reliability.
